MLB DFS Weather Thursday May 26

Brief Summary (4:15 PM Update):

PPD threat: KC (mod), ATL (LOW)     

Delay threat: WSH (slight)

I always update the radars and simulated radars with each update. Text that is updated will be marked with *****

A pair of games that should be OK are STL at WSH and COL at BOS. There could be a few showers or even a tstorm develop in warm and humid atmospheres but as of right now the simulated radars are not expecting anything to be near the games. I will keep an eye on these regions.

**Tstorm coverage expected in northern Georgia as MIL plays ATL for 7 PM:

DELAY THREAT IS LOW TO PERHAPS MODERATE; PPD THREAT LOW.



The game with the most concerns is CHW at KC. This is from a mesoscale discussion for the area from the SPC: 

Severe weather is expected to be near the region. Here is a simulated radar for 8 PM:

****Radar looks a bit spottier in terms of tstorm activity than it did a few hours ago. Gives me some optimism that they MAY try to play. Still considerable risk.

To keep in mind, this is a division foe with the White Sox scheduled to return to KC later this year. Makes me think a PPD is more likely

 

Good Hitting Environment:

- A light breeze blows out to left-center and it is warm for STL at WSH.

 

 

Bad Hitting Environments:

-None stand out as particularly bad.

COL at BOS 7:10: SEE BRIEF SUMMARY ABOVE. Wind SE 7-14 mph which blows from right to left. The wind is a 5. Temps in the mid 70s falling into the upper 60s.

MIL at ATL 7:10: SEE BRIEF SUMMARY ABOVE. Wind SSE less than 8 mph which blows out to left. The wind is a 6. Temps in the low to mid 80s falling into the upper 70s. Air density is an 8.

BLT at HOU 8:10: The retractable roof will likely be closed due to the threat of tstorms.

CHW at KC 8:15: SEE BRIEF SUMMARY ABOVE. Wind SE 8-16 mph which blows from right to left. The wind is a 5. Temps in the low to mid 70s. Air density is a 7.
